Yes, we know it sounds a little wild, we have both an indoor kitty playroom and a fully enclosed outdoor catio!
If you’ve been around here a while, you’ve probably seen the catio pop up in other posts alongside the pony barn or the chicken coop… but this post is just for the cats.
A quick look at the spaces we’ve built just for them, no ponies or chickens to distract you this time.
With seven indoor cats and a house right off a busy scenic byway, keeping everyone safe, happy, and entertained takes some planning. T
That’s why we created two dedicated cat spaces: a 10×20 outdoor catio the cats can access 24/7, and a cozy 13×20 indoor kitty playroom filled with their favorite toys, tunnels, and cat trees.
Of course, they also have full access to the rest of our home, this isn’t a lock-them-away situation.
But having the option to safely close them into the playroom when we have dinner guests, need to clean up, or just want a break from little kitty paws.
