I FLUFFIN’ LOVE YOU – DIY VALENTINE

Thanks to the beautiful junk in my craft cabinet, I now have an adorable DIY Valentine to gift, and I fluffin’ love it!

The idea started with some paper mâché heart boxes I purchased on Valentine’s Day clearance last year.

I’m pretty sure they came from Dollar General, but you can easily find these boxes at most craft retailers, especially around Valentine's Day.

For this DIY heart shaped Valentine, I decided to only use the lid of the paper mâché container.

The bottom half was stuffed back into my craft cabinet for a later date.

HOW TO MAKE I FLUFFIN' LOVE YOU DIY VALENTINE

Step one, paint the entire heart-shaped lid with craft paints.

I used FolkArt craft paint and Posca paint markers for the dots.

Next, I printed a picture of my cat Macho Man, along with the words I wanted to use from my home printer.

" YOU FLUFFIN' FLUFF"

" I FLUFFIN' LOVE YOU"

I printed the image on regular printer paper and cut out the cat's body shape, and the words.

I took the cutout pieces and glued them onto the inside part of the heart-shaped lid with Mod Podge.

Along with some faux flowers around the edges.

I also added some small magnetic buttons to the back so this cute DIY Valentine can post up on the refrigerator for a bit.

Macho Man’s sweetheart Mama May-May gave her approval, and we will be gifting this DIY Valentine to our favorite cat lover, Paul (the hubs).
